Griffith Littlehale has spent much of his life in Toledo, Ohio—a city that shaped his values and work ethic. From an early age, he found meaning in doing things with care and persistence. These traits helped him succeed academically and in extracurricular pursuits during his years at St. Francis De Sales High School, where he stood out as one of the top students in his class, graduating eighth overall in 2018. In addition to his academic success, he was a committed athlete, earning recognition as an All-American Swimmer in the 2017–2018 season. His high school years set the tone for the disciplined and focused path he continues to follow.

Academic Journey in Psychology

Griffith enrolled at the University of Toledo to pursue a Bachelor of Science in psychology. His academic performance remains strong, with a 4.0 GPA as a sign of his dedication to learning and commitment to the field. Early in his college experience, his work earned him the President’s Education Award. His efforts were also acknowledged by his acceptance into the Jesup Scott Honors College and membership in the Kappa Psi Fraternity. These achievements reflect his consistent study habits and genuine interest in understanding human behavior, notably through clinical applications.

Adding Real-World Skills

In addition to his academic studies, Griffith completed his Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification in April 2025 through the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. This experience broadened his practical skill set. His training was further recognized when he received the Clinical Excellence Award, an honor that highlighted his commitment to quality care and firm performance in the field. This blend of classroom knowledge and real-world medical experience has given him a more grounded understanding of supporting people in urgent and ongoing care settings.

Dedication to Helping Others

Griffith’s involvement in community service has long been a part of his life. While in high school, he actively participated in church-related volunteer work and community outreach events. He helped organize food drives, assisted with church functions, and contributed to efforts to feed the homeless. His service extended beyond faith-based groups to broader initiatives like United Way drives. Even during busy school periods, he made time to stay connected to service efforts, viewing them as an essential part of his personal development.

Exploring Creativity Through Design

Griffith has developed an interest in graphic design outside his academic and service commitments. Using digital tools, he began by creating visuals for college events and student programs. Over time, this interest turned into a more structured effort to build a portfolio. He took on small local projects, including promotional materials for a community theater and festive cards for church use. His work has also included logo designs and marketing visuals. Though design is not his primary academic focus, it has become a meaningful and productive creative outlet that may offer opportunities in the future.

Learning Through Literature

Griffith’s curiosity also extends into the world of classic literature and philosophy. He has taken an interest in authors such as Edgar Allan Poe and Bret Easton Ellis and philosophical works by Descartes and Oscar Wilde. While he does not plan to pursue writing as a profession, reading these works has encouraged reflection and a broader appreciation for different perspectives. This exploration supports his academic goals and personal growth alike.

Looking Toward the Road Ahead

Griffith is unsure where his future will take him, but he has several options. He is open to continuing his education in graduate psychology studies, particularly in clinical or organizational settings. At the same time, he sees the potential in growing his graphic design work into a freelance career. Having more than one direction allows him to adapt as opportunities appear.

He also hopes to explore life outside Toledo in the future. Traveling, learning from other cultures, and gaining broader life experience are essential to him. Griffith knows that growth often comes from stepping outside what’s familiar. With determination and a thoughtful approach, he is preparing himself to meet the challenges of the future while remaining grounded in the values that have guided him this far.

Hi, I’m Griffith Littlehale

When I was in college,I had the opportunity to study classics, which piqued my interest in liberal arts like philosophy and poetry. In addition to Bret Easton Ellis and Edgar Allen Poe, I am a huge fan of many more authors. Griffith has also discovered that I enjoys reading the works of Descartes and Oscar Wilde on a regular basis. While I have no plans to become a novelist, Griffith's studies of the classics have enriched his understanding of higher thought and philosophy.
